पाँच छात्रों की भगदड़ में मौत

five students died, 29 injured in stampedeFive girl students died and 29 were injured after a stampede caused by some male students in a north east delhi govt school on Thursday morning. Students were rushed to GTB hospital Shahdara after stampede. Some of the students were declared brought dead by the doctors.Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit has asked the district administration to file a magistrial enquiry report within three days. Govt has declared a relief of rupees one lack to the family of deceased and rupees fifty thousand to the family of injured students.It is learnt at the time of stampede there was an examination going in the school. Students were aked to move to shift from ground floor to the first floor at the time of incident.When the students were going to change their rooms and were on the stairs some boy students did some bad activities with the girl students.Due to this girls student lost their balance that resulted in the chaos. this chaos turned into stampede. Though in the morning there was a news that death were caused by electrocution in the school. but later, it was revealed as a rumour only. One bses official told there is no information of the electrocution in the school but the electricity supply was disconnected on the instruction of the local MLA. Later it was confirmed by the post morterm report that the deaths were caused by the stampede.Meanwhile some students and their parents alleged that there was no electricity in the school for last two to three months. this allegation was denied by the bses officials. School was having the regular power supply. Its meter was checked and reading was taken on August 01,2009, bses spokes person C P Kamath said.On the other hand local MLA Mohan Singh Bisht said that the electricity supply was not in place for last 2-3 days. while Delhi Mayor Dr Kanwar Sain said that the electricity supply in the school was not in place for the last five months.--- Dhiraj Beniwal
